Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony
This years’ glittering Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be hosted by the prestigious Wentworth Club in Surrey on Tuesday 28 October.
All businesses shortlisted for the Awards will be honoured on the night and will be named as either Winners, Runners Up or Highly Commended. We are delighted to invite the teams behind these outstanding tourism businesses to this special event.
The Venue
The Wentworth Club is the World famous home of three championship golf courses and hosts the Annual World Match Play and PGA Championships. The inaugural Curtis Cup was played on its’ East Course and it was the setting for a match became the Ryder Cup in 1953. Guests will enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the exclusive Club Lounge followed by a first class dinner served in the impressive Wentworth Ballroom.
This unique setting promises to provide a great location for a memorable evening.
The Host for the Evening
We are privileged to announce that Simon Calder will host this years’ Awards Ceremony. One of the worlds most travelled journalists, Simon is recognised as a consumer champion and respected ambassador for the Tourism Industry. He has been the Travel Editor of The Independent since 1994 and amongst his many TV and Radio credits, he is contributor to the BBC1 Holiday Programme and shortly to become presenter of the BBC2’s Travel Show.
